The Department of Physics organized an Industrial Visit on 24th October 2025 to Auroville Botanical Garden and Auroville Matrimandir. Students from all years actively participated and gained valuable insights into environmental sustainability, scientific concepts, and innovative ecological practices.

The Department of Biochemistry organized an inter-department event on April 22, 2025, titled “Geographical Futures of Earth.” Our II Year students from the Department of Physics, G. Kamallini and S. Akalya, participated in this event and won the 1st prize in the Working Model Design competition.

In celebration of the United Nations’ World Space Week (October 4–10) and its 2025 theme, “Living in Space,” the Department of Physics successfully organized a Guest Lecture that highlighted the scientific and technological foundations of human space habitation.The guest speaker, Dr. P. The Department of Physics organized Experiments Day on October 31, 2025, to promote scientific curiosity and hands-on learning among students of all departments. The event included live demonstrations, a memory puzzle, and an exciting science quiz. The Miss Idhaya 2K25 competition was a grand and inspiring event organized by physics department, Idhaya College on November 13, 2025 for Women to showcase the confidence, talent, and moral values of young women. The event aimed to encourage students to express their individuality, intelligence, and creativity while promoting values of leadership and compassion. The competition began with an introduction round, where contestants presented themselves gracefully and confidently. This was followed by a talent round, in which participants displayed their unique skills such as dance, public speaking, etc. The event concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, recognizing the winners and participants for their efforts. The program was a memorable celebration of beauty with purpose, highlighting that true elegance lies in one’s heart and attitude.

Palayam, Kandhad, Marakkanam The programme commenced with a warm interaction with the villagers, followed by Pongal celebration, where traditional customs were observed with great enthusiasm. Description: Extension & Social Outreach Activity The Department of Physics, Idhaya College of Arts and Science for Women, Puducherry, has adopted K.N. Palayam, Kandhad, Marakkanam, as part of its extension and community outreach initiatives with the objective of promoting social responsibility and rural development. As a part of this adoption programme, 16 students from all years along with two faculty in-charges visited the village and actively engaged with the community through various meaningful activities.
