VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK 2025
As part of the Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 organized by the Office of the Commissioner of GST & Central Excise, Puducherry, an Elocution Competition was conducted on 28th October 2025 at 3:00 PM at the GST Bhavan, Puducherry.
Ms. S. Jothiha, from III B.Com Corporate Secretaryship, showcased her remarkable oratory skills and was awarded the III Prize with a cash award of ?500/-
Our Department final year Students Yuvasri ,Jayasri and Priyanka had participated energitically twice every month in the Music Therapy program as part of NSS activities. Improve Patients concentration and memory. The therapy was organized with the objectives of providing emotional support and mental relaxation to cancer survivors through music
The Viksit Bharath Young Leaders meet was held on 25th January 2026, karaikal under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. The program provided valuable insights on leadership and Nation Building.
The Cleaning Activitiy not only enhanced the appearance of the ground but also created awarness among Students about the importance of cleanliness, teamwork and social responsibility.
The law day session on the theme "THE NEED FOR A LEGAL FRAMEWORK TO REGULATE AI"was held on 26november 2025 at RAM INTERNATIONAL HOTEL.the programme was organised by sri aurobindo institute for legal studies in commemoration of constitution day ,with the objectives of creating awareness about the legal and ethical challenges emerging from the rapid growth of AI.
Our students actively participated in the future youth leaders boot camp organized by Mera yuva bharat under the ministry of youth affairs and sports , government of india.the( two days program21.11,2025and 22.11.2025) was conducted with objectives of nurturing leadership qualities ,social responsibilities and national values among youth .Total of 11 students from our collegfe took part enthusiastically in the camp.

The PG Department of Corporate Secretaryship, in association with the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), organized an Orientation Session on Company Secretaryship to create awareness among students about the CS profession, course structure, career opportunities, corporate compliance and governance . The session was held on 11.9.26 between 12.30pm to 1.30pm. Dr. Azhaguraja, Associate member of ICSI was the chief guest and Mrs. Chitra Anantharaman, ICSI Co- ordinator addressed the students. Rev.Sr. Dr. A. Fathima, Secretary, Idhaya college presided over the session. The First-Year B.Com C.S and II M.Com students attended the session. The session provided valuable professional exposure through expert interaction and encouraged the students to explore Company Secretaryship as a promising career pathway. The programme contributed to the student development, career readiness, professional exposure and quality enhancement among the students community.
The PICCASSO Association of the PG Department of Corporate Secretaryship was inaugurated on 21st August 2026 at the Idhaya Auditorium.
The programme featured the oath-taking of office bearers, presentation of achievements and proposed activities, and an inspiring address by the Chief Guest.
The event concluded with prize distribution, Vote of Thanks and the College Anthem, encouraging leadership, teamwork and excellence among students.
he Commissionerate of IT (Exemptions) in collaboration with Indian Institute of Chartered Accountants of India organized aTaxpayer Outreach Programme on 17.8.26 between 10.30am to 12.30pm at Hotel Atithi. Mr. Premanand, IRS was the Chief guest for the day. Mrs. Supraja, Add. Commissioner of IRS addressed on the provisions relating to IT Act 2025 for the Registered Non- Profit Organisations. Individuals, Chartered Accountants from various institutions took part in this session. Rev. Sr. Santhana Mary, Administrative Officer. Dr. A. Rosary Ramona Fernando, Asst. Prof. In Corporate Secretaryship and Ms. Vimala, Asst. Prof jn Commerce along wigh 10 M.Com students attended the session. The session was highly engaging and informative.
The PG Department of Corporate Secretaryship organized the Valedictory Ceremony on 27.04.2026 at Idhaya Auditorium at 10.30 a.m. Dr. V. Yamuna, Assistant Professor, BGCW, and Mrs. B. Charanya, Principal, Aklavya International School, Thengaithetu, were the chief guests of the day.
The ceremony commenced with a prayer song, followed by the lighting of the lamp and a video presentation. The department magazine, “Corp Chronicle,” was released by the esteemed guests.
The chief guests addressed the students on the ways and means to lead a successful life enriched with academics, extracurricular activities, skill-based experiential learning, and the importance of maintaining a proper log register in formal format.
Prizes were distributed to students who excelled in academics, secured 100% attendance, and made valuable contributions to the college and the department.
The ceremony concluded successfully with the blessings of the Almighty.

Academic performance, attendance, discipline, and student behaviour were discussed. Parents were informed about remedial classes, mobile usage guidelines, and academic requirements. The meeting concluded with positive feedback from parents appreciating the department’s efforts.

Our department conducted awareness programme regarding the financial literacy under SEBI - NISM about an cash management , savings, budgeting and investment basics.
The PG Department organized an awareness programme on Mental health and well-being on 19 November 2025 at 2:00 PM in the A.V Room. The initiative aimed to promote mental wellness among students and create awareness about maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
The session was led by the resource person, Dr. Chinchinamal, Medical Officer, Ayurveda Consultant, Wellness Practitioner, and Managing Trustee of MRG, Puducherry. She delivered an insightful lecture on mental health, stress management, emotional balance, and the adoption of healthy daily habits.
Approximately 110 students from I UG and I PG participated actively. Practical wellness techniques were shared, which students can easily incorporate into their daily routines.
The programme was highly informative and beneficial, fostering greater awareness of mental health and overall well-being among students.
The PG Department of Corporate Secretaryship of Idhaya College of Arts and Science for Women, Puducherry, in collaboration with the Puducherry State Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Consumer Association, celebrated World Consumer Rights Day on 30th March 2026 at the Idhaya Auditorium.
The programme was presided over by Rev. Sr. Dr. A. Fathima, Principal of the college. The Chief Guest, S. Muthuvel, spoke about consumer rights and grievance redressal. The Guest of Honour, K. Sankaralingam, highlighted the importance of consumer awareness.
Various competitions were conducted for students.
In the speech competition, Banupriya.J won first prize, Danielle.S second prize, and Lakshaya.M third prize.
In the essay competition, Rubavathi.S secured first prize, Bhuvaneshwari.J second prize, and Priyadharshini.A third prize.
A Rapid Fire Round on consumer rights was also conducted, making the programme interactive.
The event was successful in creating awareness about consumer rights among students.
CORP VISTA – Inter-Collegiate Trade Fair
The PG Department of Corporate Secretaryship organized CORP VISTA, an Inter-Collegiate Trade Fair, on 14 March 2026 at Idhaya Auditorium.
The programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mr. Jayaram, General Manager. Students from 15 colleges actively participated in the event, setting up various stalls that showcased a wide range of products and food items.
The programme commenced with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony, followed by the address by the Chief Guest. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship and highlighted the numerous opportunities available for students in this field.
The event concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, where the winners were recognized and awarded for their outstanding performances.
The event was a grand success and provided a valuable platform for students to develop and enhance their entrepreneurial skills.
The Department of Corporate Secretaryship successfully organised an Intra Department competition titled COFEST 2026 on 21st February 2026 as part of No Book Day. The event was held at St'mary Block. The programme aimed to promote creativity, teamwork and active students participation. Various Events Ad-Zap, Channel Surfing, Johny whoops, Glass painting, Freeze Dance and Nail art. It provided a good platform for students to show their talents.
The Department in association with the Institution's innovation council organised the program to celebrate Start up Day on 12 January 2026. The objectives of the program was to encourage entrepreneurial thinking among students and to bridge the gap between acedemic knowledge and practical business oppourtunities.
Our staff and studens made an interaction with 12th students and create an awaress about higher studies and our college.
As part of the Pongal Celebration Our Department arranged for Pongal pots and actively participated in the traditional Pongal preparation. The area was beautifully decorated with kolam, sugarcane and other traditional items reflecting the rich Tamil culture.
Our college participated in intercollege compition with great enthusiasm.Students took part in various activities and won more awards and overall trophy.
The Department organized a Pongal Celebration at the adopted village as part of its community outreach initiated. Various traditional games were organized for children, women and elders of the village. Prizes were distributed to the winners by the Department faculty members.

77th Republic day was celebrated in our college on 26th January 2026 to honour the adoption of the Constitution Of india. It is a day of pride and patriotism for all Indians.
As a part of extension activity, an outreach programme was organizes by the college . A total of 5 buses where arranged, and five teams comprasing students and faculty from various department reach other schools .

Tidal Neo Private Limited(12.11.2025)
The first year students and II M.Com students from the department of Corporate secretaryship visited Tidal Neo Private Limited, an IT company on 12.11.2025 situated at Thiruchitrambalam koot Road. About 110 students were taken to the company accompanied by two faculty Dr. Sivaranjini and Mrs. A.C. Shobana. The students were briefed about the opportunities and ideas available in learning Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint. They also explained about how these applications are used in day-to-day operations as well as in the professional environment. The visit was truly informative and enriching and provided valuable insights into both technical and professional aspects.

The PG Department of Corporate Secretaryship of Idhaya College, Puducherry, organised an Awareness Program on Insurance on 30th October 2025 at the Audio Visual Room. The session was conducted by Mr. N. Patchaiyappan, AMFI Registered Mutual Fund Distributor, who served as the Resource Person.

Rosary Ramona Fernando. the students president. vice president and committee coordinators then took the oath. The chief Guest addressed the gathering and interacted with the students. Finally vote of thanks was given by DR. A Rosary Ramona Fernando Head of the Department.
An awareness session on Menstrual Hygiene and Cervical Cancer for all the UG and PG students was held on 13.10.2025 at the Idhaya Auditorium. The session aimed to educate young women on the importance of maintaining hygiene and creating awareness about cervical cancer/ Dr. Malar Ilango, M.D Community Medicine, Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute gave a brief note about menstrual hygiene. Dr. Anlin Jenisha, Post Graduate, Department of Community Medicine enlightened the students on various aspects of menstrual health, personal hygiene. She addressed about the causes, symptoms, and preventive measures for cervical cancer emphasizing the role of the HPv Vaccination and regular medical screening. The session was highly informative engaging and helped break myths associated with mestrual health

Places Visited: PONLAIT, Kurumbapet and Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Puducherry. The department of Corporate Secretaryship organized an industrial visit to PONLAIT and KVK to gain practical knowledge beyond classroom learning. At PONLAIT, we observed how milk is collected, processed, and packed. The officials explained the production of products like curd, ghee, and flavored milk, and also highlighted the importance of hygiene and quality control.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, Dr. P. Ravikumar, Assistant Professor of Physics, Tagore Government Arts and Science College, Puducherry.
The guest visited the exhibited food stuffs and exhibits appreciating the participants’ innovative ideas in preparing delicious dishes without the use of flame and in crafting useful products from waste materials. The participants showcased their immense talent, creativity. It was real initiative to create awareness among the students' folk towards environmental sustainability.
Our Department organized Skill Development Program - Saree Pre-pleating workshop on 07.01.2025 in the Auditorium. The resource person Mrs. Kirtuthika conducted the workshop to the participants on the art of pre pleating sarees to all our department first year UG & PG Students.
The Department of Corporate secretaryship in collaboration with FITA academy successfully organised a Two Days intercollegiate workshop on 4.425 to 5.4.25. the session was organised for all other college and the students of our college also participated in the workshop. workshop was help at Idhaya Auditoriuym. Students activitely participated in the event.

Our Department organized skill and development program - mehandi workshop on 06.01.2025 in the Auditorium. The resource person Mrs. kiruthika conducted the workshop by introducing traditional cultural of mehandi and highlighted the medical cooling effects of henna to all our department first year UG & PG Students.
Our Department organised an Awareness and training Program on E-Banking for UG & PG Final Year Students on 23.1.25. The Program aimed to educate students on the benefits and practices of E-Banking.

The re-inauguration of PICCASSO was held on 12.9.2024 at Idhaya Auditorium. The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. P. Natarajan, Asssociate Professor of Commerce, Pondicherry University. The Program began with the welcome speech followed by the lighting of the lamp. The chief guest delivered an inspiring speech. The event conculded with the vote of thanks.

On 2nd March 2024, We the department of Corporate Secretaryship organised the cleaning program in the village, Pillaiyarthittu. Totally 23 students from our department participated and carried down cleaning activity along with 4 staff members.
Our department students participated in the GLOBIZZ 2024 inter-collegiate event which was conducted by Pondicherry University – International Management Studies and won the participation certificate. The programme was conducted on 29-02-2024 and P. Sridharan, Dean, School of Management, Pondicherry University was the chief guest. Around 25 students of our department take part in the event.

Our department students participated in the COMMET 2024 organized by ST.Joseph college of arts and science, Cuddalore. Prakash Kumar, Managing Director, PVR Mall was the chief guest. A total of 20 students from our department participated.
On 17th February 2024, The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the Department of Corporate Secretaryship, Idhaya College of Arts and Science, Puducherry, and the President of Pillaiyarthittu, Mr. V. Muthukumaran at the Secretary House. The document was handed over through the Head of the Department, Dr. Rosary Remono Farnado along with the Staff Dr. C. Sivaranjani at 3.30 p.m.
On 16 February 2024,238, students of the 2nd and 3rd years and 8 staff from our department embarked on an enriching industrial visit to Dakshin Chithra, a living history museum in Chengalpattu near Chennai. We started our journey by 6.00 AM and reached Dakshin Chithra Heritage Museum at 9.15 AM. There we had a treat for our eyes with cultural and traditional diversity
Our department conducted a seminar on constitutional rights on 20-02-2024 at Idhaya College of Arts and Science for women (AV room). Mr. M. Karthikeyan Advocate, Madras High Court was the Guest for the session. Total of 150 students (3rd year) attended the seminar.
On 20.09.2023, a seminar was organized by Sexual Harassment Cell, Human & Legal Rights Club and Department of Corporate Secretaryship on the topic “Laws on prevention of sexual harassment at work place 2013”. Mrs. Reena Ishwarya, Advocate, Pondicherry addressed the gathering. The second-year students from the department of corporate secretaryship, members of human & legal rights club, attended the seminar.
The department of Corporate Secretaryship organized a seminar on “Health and fitness” on 4.10.2023 at 3.00 pm at Idhaya Auditorium. Dr. R. Vivek, Physical Education Teacher, Adithya Vidhyashram was the Guest for the session. Rev. Sr. Dr. A Fathima, Principal & Secretary presided over the session. All the I, II, III Years students actively participated.
Our Department organized an Inter-collegiate meet “Corporate sphere 2023” on 25th September 2023 at Idhaya Auditorium. Chief guest Mr. VishwaMithran, Actor, Kanna Kanum Kaalangal. The judges for the events were Dr. T. Muthukumar Asso. Professor, PG Department of Commerce, Dr. T. Sathish Head, PG Department of Commerce and Mrs. Mageshwari asst. Prof. Saratha Gangadharan College. About 82 participants took active participation in all the events. Shields & Certificates were distributed to the winners.
