Title: Industrial visit to Dakshin Chithra

Description:
On 16 February 2024,238, students of the 2nd and 3rd years and 8 staff from our department embarked on an enriching industrial visit to Dakshin Chithra, a living history museum in Chengalpattu near Chennai. We started our journey by 6.00 AM and reached Dakshin Chithra Heritage Museum at 9.15 AM. There we had a treat for our eyes with cultural and traditional diversity

The Department of Corporate Secretaryship organized a seminar on ‘SECURITY MARKET AND INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES” on 31.012024 at Idhaya College of Arts and Science for women AV room. The program educated the gathering on the career opportunities in security markets and the various investment choices in the recent banking trends. Mr. E. Ilango AGM, SEBI. Mr. B. Badrinarayanan BSE, IPF. Mr. B. Karthik CDSL was the chief guest and our 3rd year students attended the session.

The Department of Corporate Secreatyship of Idhaya College of Arts and Science for Women in collaboration with IQAC has inaugurated the PICCASSO, motivational and Human legal rights club on 25th September 2023. Dr. R. Azhagaiah, Associate Professor of Commerce, Kanchi Mamunivar Government Institute for Postgraduate studies and Research was the chief guest for the occasion. Rev. Sr. Dr. A. Fathima, Principal & Secretary, Idhaya College of Arts& Science for Women graced the occasion.

Our Department organized an Inter-collegiate meet “Corporate sphere 2023” on 25th September 2023 at Idhaya Auditorium. Chief guest Mr. VishwaMithran, Actor, Kanna Kanum Kaalangal. The judges for the events were Dr. T. Muthukumar Asso. Professor, PG Department of Commerce, Dr. T. Sathish Head, PG Department of Commerce and Mrs. Mageshwari asst. Prof. Saratha Gangadharan College. About 82 participants took active participation in all the events. Shields & Certificates were distributed to the winners.

All the I, II, III Years students actively participated.

On 20.09.2023, a seminar was organized by Sexual Harassment Cell, Human & Legal Rights Club and Department of Corporate Secretaryship on the topic “Laws on prevention of sexual harassment at work place 2013”. Mrs. Reena Ishwarya, Advocate, Pondicherry addressed the gathering. The second-year students from the department of corporate secretaryship, members of human & legal rights club, attended the seminar.

Our department conducted a seminar on constitutional rights on 20-02-2024 at Idhaya College of Arts and Science for women (AV room). Mr. M. Karthikeyan Advocate, Madras High Court was the Guest for the session. Total of 150 students (3rd year) attended the seminar.

On 17th February 2024, The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the Department of Corporate Secretaryship, Idhaya College of Arts and Science, Puducherry, and the President of Pillaiyarthittu, Mr. V. Muthukumaran at the Secretary House. The document was handed over through the Head of the Department, Dr. Rosary Remono Farnado along with the Staff Dr. C. Sivaranjani at 3.30 p.m.

Our department students participated in the GLOBIZZ 2024 inter-collegiate event which was conducted by Pondicherry University – International Management Studies and won the participation certificate. The programme was conducted on 29-02-2024 and P. Sridharan, Dean, School of Management, Pondicherry University was the chief guest. Around 25 students of our department take part in the event.
