On the occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuse, the Anti-Drug Cell in collaboration with the Department of Computer Applications at Idhaya College of Arts and Science for Women, Puducherry, organized a Pledge Taking Ceremony on 26th June 2025. The event was graced by Rev. Sr. Dr. A. Fathima, who honoured the gathering with her presence. The Vice Principal, Dr. S. Mary Britto, delivered an impactful and insightful awareness speech on the harmful effects of drug abuse.

The Anti-Drug Cell of our college organized an Elocution Competition on the topic “Say No to Tobacco” on [31.10.2025] at the Conference Hall from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event was graced by Dr. Vijay Amudhan, Assistant Professor, Department of English, as the Chief Guest. The competition was coordinated by Mrs. K. Kalaivani, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Applications. Several students participated enthusiastically, expressing their views on the harmful effects of tobacco use. The top three performers were selected and awarded. The event concluded successfully, creating awareness among students about the importance of leading a tobacco-free life.
