Institution's Innovation Council (IIC)

IIC, or Institution's Innovation Council, is an initiative by the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell (MIC) to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in higher education institutions across India. It encourages students, faculty, and staff to engage in activities like ideation, problem-solving, and developing prototypes to create an innovation ecosystem within the campus. • Developing skills: The councils focus on building skills like Design Thinking, critical thinking, and an innovative thought process in students.
  • Creating an ecosystem: IICs work to create a supportive environment by connecting students with entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals.
  • Mentorship and support: They facilitate mentorship and provide guidance for pre-incubation and incubation stages of projects, including intellectual property rights (IPR) and project management.
