Our Story

Welcome to Idhaya College of Arts & Science

Idhaya College of Arts and Science for Women, Puducherry is affiliated to Pondicherry University. Established by the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Congregation in 2004, the college was formed to cater to the needs of rural, backward, and marginalized women.

The institution is a milestone in the history of the Immaculate Congregation, striving to impart value-based education for the integral development and personality of its students.

Message from the Secretary & Principal

The Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Congregation, with a vision to liberate and empower oppressed and illiterate women, established Idhaya College of Arts and Science for Women, Puducherry as a milestone in the history of the Immaculate Congregation.

The prime objective of our institution is to nurture a sound mind in a healthy body, enabling students to develop rational thinking, self-confidence, and social responsibility. The college prepares students to face future challenges with competence while instilling ethical values and spiritual awareness.

Excellence in education remains our foremost goal. We continuously adopt innovative teaching methodologies to enhance learning outcomes and academic quality.
